Time, Past and Future

While time runs both ways at the quantum level, at the level of everyday life the number of particles is so huge that an arrow of time develops just by virtue of the fact that many multi-body processes, which have a large statistical element, are far more likely to occur in one direction than the other. The future is then defined as the direction in which we have less  information. And since the universe is mostly, if not totally, in random motion, we have an open future.
