Zero Hour: Disaster at Chernobyl (Discovery Channel) (2004)

This is quite fascinating. It seems obvious the lead Engineer, directing the inherently dangerous test lacked any understanding of how the RMBK reactor worked. While the RMBK reactor has design characteristics that were dangerous under certain modes of operation, the computer control system (defeated by the operators) and the operating procedures (not followed by the operators) would have prevented the reactor accident. Based on this video  the accident was primarily the fault of the lead engineer’s  total recklessness and apparent personality disorder, an unnecessarily dangerous test procedure and a system that brought all this together.
